Who We Are
Friends in Need is an agency whose purpose is….
* to collect and disperse food and other necessary items to those temporarily in need within the communities of Cottage Grove, St. Paul Park, Newport and Grey Cloud Island.
* to inform and educate the people in the area of the existence of this food shelf and the need for their ongoing support.
Friends in Need Philosophy of Service
To provide food to all who seek it a Friends in Need Food Shelf.
To be kind, caring, friendly, confidential and non-judgmental to all those who are “friends in need”.

June 2011: Gladys Gunderson celebrated her 95th birthday by having her friends donate to Friends in Need. With only one paid staff member, it is truly a volunteer organization.
