They offer food support eligibility screening and application assistance.
Call Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm (after hours messages will be returned the next day)

Free and Reduced School Lunches – District 833

We encourage all client families to apply for free and reduced school lunches for children in the South Washington school district #833. Your application is discreet and handled via mail with the school district.
Your family is eligible for free and reduced school lunch if you are currently receiving food assistance (food stamps), receive benefits through the MFIP program (Minnesota Family Investment Plan) or if you have foster children in your home.
You also qualify for free and reduced school lunches if your yearly income is within the income limits set by the school district. The income limits for the 2008-2009 school year are:

To apply for free and reduced school lunch, visit the school district website to print an application.
**If your application is approved, you will be notified by letter and only you and your children will know you are receiving lunch benefits. Please SAVE THIS LETTER because your eligibility for reduced and free lunches also qualifies you for reduced rates for school activities such as athletics, all-day Kindergarten, all school sponsored activities, driver’s education and childcare.**
